Perrigo Company Completes Qualis Acquisition

ALLEGAN, Mich.

The Perrigo Company (NASDAQ: PRGO)(TASE: PRGO) today announced that it has closed its transaction to acquire Qualis, Inc., a privately-owned manufacturer of store brand pediculicide products for $12 million in cash. Perrigo purchased five store brand over-the-counter product formulations that compare to Rid® and Nix® that it will manufacture at its New York facilities. Shipments will begin immediately.

Commenting on the announcement, Perrigo President and Chief Executive Officer, Joseph C. Papa, stated, "This transaction demonstrates our commitment to be a full service provider to our retail customers and makes Perrigo the store brand category leader for lice products. This continues our mission to make healthcare more affordable. The strategic acquisition adds products without adding tangible assets." These products are expected to add over $10 million in sales on an annual basis.
